First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study is checking the safety of the IC-8 Apthera lens implant after treating a common side effect called posterior capsule opacification (PCO), where the lens capsule becomes cloudy. About 435 adults who already have this lens and develop PCO will be followed for up to 2 years. Researchers will track any additional treatments, complications, and visual disturbances to ensure the lens remains safe.
