Common Painkiller's hidden risk for runners in the heat?

NCT ID NCT06247462

Summary

This small study aimed to understand if taking ibuprofen before exercising in hot weather increases signs of kidney stress. Twelve healthy, active adults ran for an hour in a hot room after taking either ibuprofen or a placebo pill. Researchers measured blood and urine markers before and after to see if the painkiller made a difference.
