First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving ibuprofen during and after lung surgery can help keep the brain well-oxygenated and reduce confusion or memory loss afterward. About 54 adults having keyhole lung surgery with one-lung ventilation will be randomly assigned to receive ibuprofen or not. Researchers will monitor brain oxygen levels during surgery and check for delirium and cognitive changes after.
