Common painkiller may shield brain from surgery side effects

NCT ID NCT07399184

Summary

This study is testing if giving the common anti-inflammatory drug ibuprofen during and right after lung surgery can help protect the brain. Researchers want to see if it improves oxygen levels in the brain during the operation and reduces post-surgery confusion and memory problems. They will compare results in about 54 patients who receive ibuprofen to those who do not.
