First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at children who had severe bacterial infections requiring intensive care between 2015 and 2018 in France. Researchers want to understand why some children get much sicker than others by analyzing their genes, immune systems, and medical history. The goal is to find genetic differences that may make certain children more vulnerable to severe infections.
