First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study aims to find differences in the small intestine's bacteria and natural chemicals between people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and healthy volunteers. Researchers will use special capsules to collect samples from the small intestine, which is hard to reach. The goal is to better understand what causes IBS, not to test a treatment. About 90 adults aged 18-65 will take part.
