First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested whether injecting stem cells into the forearm and thigh is safe for people with Inclusion Body Myositis, a rare muscle-weakening disease. Nine adults took part, each receiving injections on one side of the body. The main goal was to check for side effects, with hopes that future studies could show if this treatment slows or reverses muscle weakness.
