First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a new weekly injection called IBI362 works better than the existing drug semaglutide for weight loss and reducing liver fat in overweight or obese Chinese adults with metabolic fatty liver disease. About 479 participants will receive either drug for 48 weeks, followed by a 12-week safety check. The goal is to see which treatment is more effective at helping people lose weight and improve liver health.
