Balloon pump may save lives after heart attack complication

Summary
This study tests whether a balloon pump (IABP) can improve survival in people who develop a hole in the heart after a heart attack. About 100 participants with early shock will be randomly assigned to receive the pump or standard care. The main goal is to see if the pump reduces deaths within 30 days.
