First seen Jan 15, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at 500 children who had surgery for a rare brain tumor called craniopharyngioma. Researchers wanted to see if the amount of damage to a key brain area (the hypothalamus) seen on MRI scans could predict future growth hormone problems and thinking or emotional difficulties. The goal is to help nurses and doctors create better, personalized care plans for these children.
