New radiation schedule could cut treatment time for early throat cancer
NCT ID NCT07197060
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests a shorter course of radiation (3.5 Gy per session for 17 sessions) for people with early-stage glottic cancer (T1-T2N0M0). The goal is to see if this approach controls the tumor as well as or better than standard longer radiation, while keeping side effects low and preserving the voice. About 70 adults who have not had prior larynx surgery or radiation will take part.
