First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested a shorter, higher-dose radiation treatment given before breast cancer surgery in 25 people with early-stage breast cancer. The goal was to see if this approach could kill more tumor cells and reduce side effects. The main measure was how many patients had no or very little cancer left in the tissue removed during surgery.
