First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looked at how the brain and body change during hypnosis. Fifty healthy adults completed a standard hypnosis test while wearing sensors to measure brain waves and other signals. The goal was to collect data that will help create a machine learning tool to recognize when a person is anxious, calm, or in a trance. This tool could one day be used to help people relax without medication during medical procedures.
