Can a quick hypnosis session before surgery ease your mind and pain?

Summary
This study is testing whether a short hypnosis session before abdominal surgery can help reduce patients' anxiety and pain afterwards. About 48-68 adults scheduled for surgery in Morocco will be randomly assigned to receive either a 15-20 minute hypnosis session or standard psychological preparation before their operation. Researchers will measure anxiety levels, pain after surgery, pain medication use, and how long patients stay in the hospital to see if hypnosis makes a difference.
