Summary

This study looks at whether hypnosis can help reduce pain and stress when getting stitches in the emergency room. About 180 adults with skin cuts will be randomly assigned to receive either standard care or hypnosis during the procedure. The main goal is to see if hypnosis lowers stress, measured by heart rate, and also reduces pain and anxiety reported by patients.
