Calm breathing through hypnosis could sharpen cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT07334990

Summary

This study is testing whether listening to a simple audio hypnosis recording helps patients breathe more steadily during a special type of CT scan used for lung cancer radiation therapy. The goal is to see if calmer, more regular breathing reduces blurry images (called artifacts) caused by motion, which could help doctors target the tumor more precisely. About 25 adults scheduled for this type of radiation therapy will have scans with and without the hypnosis recording to compare the results.
