Scientists probe mystery of high blood pressure in rare disease

NCT ID NCT06756620

Summary

This study aimed to understand why people with a rare genetic disorder called Cytochrome P450 Oxidoreductase (POR) deficiency often develop high blood pressure and blood vessel damage. Researchers compared 51 patients with the condition to healthy individuals, measuring blood pressure over 24 hours and looking for signs of blood vessel stress in their blood. The goal was to gather knowledge that could lead to better future treatments.
