Can 5 minutes of video change how communities understand hypertension?
NCT ID NCT07497841
Summary
This study tested whether short educational videos could improve what people know and do about secondary hypertension—a type of high blood pressure with a specific cause. Researchers first created a questionnaire to measure knowledge, then showed five 1-minute videos to over 1,000 residents in Beijing suburbs via community chat groups. They compared scores before and after to see if the videos helped, especially for older or less-educated residents.
