First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested a special camera that takes pictures of the back of the eye using many different colors of light. The goal was to see if this method could find unique patterns linked to eye diseases like diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration. About 679 adults with healthy or diseased eyes took part. The study was stopped early, but the data may help improve future eye imaging.
