Summary

This completed study surveyed 55 men who have sex with men who use psychoactive substances, particularly synthetic cathinones, during sex. Researchers used questionnaires to determine whether hypersexual behaviors are pre-existing or induced by the drugs. The goal was to better understand the connection between substance use and sexual addiction, as well as the related medical and social consequences.
