First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at how short bursts of extra oxygen affect blood flow in the brains of ICU patients who are on breathing machines. Researchers will safely increase oxygen levels for a short time and use ultrasound to monitor brain artery responses. The goal is to learn how to better manage oxygen therapy in the future. Participation does not offer direct benefit but involves minimal risk.
