Oxygen chamber study aims to supercharge heart health and fight inflammation
NCT ID NCT07361861
First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at whether breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) can improve cardiovascular fitness and lower inflammation in healthy adults. Researchers will measure VO₂ max (a key fitness indicator) and blood markers of inflammation before, during, and after treatment. The goal is to see if an intermediate pressure level can provide both benefits at once.
