First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) can reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in military personnel. About 72 adults with PTSD will receive 60 sessions over 12 weeks, and researchers will track their symptoms for two years afterward. The goal is to see if this treatment provides lasting relief from PTSD.
