First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding hyperbaric oxygen therapy (breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber) to a minimally invasive hip surgery can reduce pain and improve mobility in people with early-stage avascular necrosis (bone death) of the hip. About 400 adults with stage I or II necrosis will be enrolled. The goal is to see if the combination treatment works better than surgery alone.
