First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested if hyperbaric oxygen therapy (breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber) can reduce fibromyalgia symptoms better than standard medications in 48 adults whose fibromyalgia started after emotional trauma. Participants were randomly assigned to either oxygen therapy or usual care. The goal was to see if oxygen therapy could improve pain, fatigue, and overall quality of life more than drugs alone.
