Breathing pure oxygen under pressure: new hope for brain injury patients
NCT ID NCT02407028
Summary
This study is testing whether breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber can help people recover from severe traumatic brain injuries. Researchers are enrolling 200 patients aged 16-65 who recently suffered severe brain trauma to find the safest and most effective pressure levels. The goal is to gather enough evidence to plan a larger, definitive trial that could lead to a new treatment option.
