Summary
This study looked at whether breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) can improve aerobic and anaerobic fitness in healthy athletes. 59 athletes aged 18-25 or 40-50 who exercise regularly took part. Researchers measured changes in exercise capacity and muscle function over 4 months.
