Pressurized oxygen chamber tested as recovery boost after stroke

NCT ID NCT07049692

Summary

This study tests whether breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) helps people recover better after surgery to remove a stroke-causing blood clot. Researchers will enroll 424 stroke patients who recently had the surgery and randomly assign some to receive the oxygen therapy. They'll measure recovery over 12 months to see if the therapy improves movement, independence, and quality of life after a stroke.
