New combo therapy aims to outsmart drug-resistant cancers
NCT ID NCT02998567
First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This early-stage trial tests a combination of two drugs (guadecitabine and pembrolizumab) in about 60 people with advanced solid tumours, including non-small cell lung cancer, that no longer respond to standard treatments. The main goal is to find the safest dose and check for side effects. It is not a cure, but aims to control the disease by making tumours more responsive to immunotherapy.
