Summary
This study is testing whether hydroxychloroquine, a drug used for malaria and arthritis, can help treat fatty liver disease with inflammation. 210 adults with confirmed fatty liver and elevated liver enzymes will take either the drug or a placebo pill daily for one year. Researchers will check if the drug reduces liver inflammation and is safe for this condition.
