NCT ID NCT07411911

First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether adding hydrogen gas to standard cooling therapy is safe and doable for newborns who suffered brain injury from oxygen loss at birth. About 54 full-term infants will be randomly assigned to receive either standard cooling alone or cooling plus inhaled hydrogen for 72 hours. The main goals are to check for side effects and see how well the hydrogen treatment can be given, not yet to prove it works.
