First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving hydrocortisone early, right when shock is diagnosed, helps very small preterm babies (under 1,500 grams) recover faster and survive. About 76 babies will either get standard shock treatment alone or standard treatment plus hydrocortisone. The goal is to see if the drug shortens shock and prevents early death.
