Summary

This study looked at whether drinking 1.5 liters of extra water each day for a year could lower blood sugar in adults who were dehydrated. About 800 people with high blood sugar and signs of dehydration took part. Half got extra water plus lifestyle advice, the other half only lifestyle advice. The goal was to see if more water could help control blood sugar and reduce diabetes risk.
