NCT ID NCT07304570
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested a new teaching method for fourth-year medical students. Instead of just watching videos and reading, half the students used virtual reality (VR) to practice brain anatomy and watched live-streamed surgeries with a chance to ask questions. The goal was to see if this hands-on approach improved their decision-making and interest in neurosurgery more than traditional online learning. 112 students took part, and the study compared their skills and knowledge before and after the 4-week course.
