First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested a hybrid expander combined with tiny bone holes (micro-osteo perforations) to widen the upper jaw in 14 adults aged 17-23 with a narrow jaw or crossbite. The goal was to see if this approach could safely and effectively correct the jaw alignment. Results focused on how much the jaw and teeth expanded, as seen on 3D scans.
