Summary
This study tested a hybrid closed loop system that combines a Tandem insulin pump with a Dexcom continuous glucose monitor to automatically adjust insulin delivery in adults with type 1 diabetes. Thirty participants used the system for a year to see if it improved blood sugar control and quality of life. The goal was to learn how well this technology works in a real-world Scottish setting.
