Can a smart insulin pump win over patients with dangerously high blood sugar?
NCT ID NCT05282264
First seen May 24, 2026 ยท Last updated May 24, 2026
Summary
This study checked if adults with very poorly controlled type 1 diabetes (HbA1c over 11%) would keep using a hybrid closed-loop insulin system. Researchers looked back at 66 patients' records to see how many stuck with the system and how well it worked. The goal was to learn if this technology is acceptable and helpful for people with the most challenging blood sugar control.
