Three-Step breast reconstruction trial tests new approach
NCT ID NCT06146231
Summary
This study is testing a new three-step approach to breast reconstruction for women who have had breast cancer surgery or have Poland syndrome. First, a temporary tissue expander stretches the skin, then the patient's own fat is injected, and finally a permanent implant is placed. Researchers want to see if this hybrid method is safe and effective while improving how the breast looks and feels.
