First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a Chinese herbal medicine (Huazhi Rougan Granule) to a two-week course of stomach-acid reducers and antibiotics can better clear a common stomach infection (H. pylori) in people who also have a type of fatty liver disease (MASH). About 286 adults aged 18–65 who have not been treated for H. pylori before will take part. Half will get the herbal granule plus standard treatment, and half will get a placebo plus standard treatment, to see if the combination works better.
