This study tested an experimental pain-relief drug called HTX-011 in 430 adults recovering from bunionectomy (foot surgery). The drug was given locally at the surgery site to reduce pain. The main goal was to measure pain intensity over the first 24 hours after surgery. Results showed lower pain scores compared to standard treatments, suggesting it could be a helpful option for managing post-surgery pain.
