Summary

This study tested an experimental drug called SAR442970 for adults with moderate-to-severe hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), a chronic skin condition causing painful lumps and tunnels under the skin. The main goal was to see if the drug was better than a placebo (a dummy shot without medicine) at reducing the number of these painful lumps after 16 weeks of treatment. Researchers also monitored side effects to check the drug's safety.
