Could a skin drug help your heart? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07454889
Summary
This study aims to understand if secukinumab, a standard treatment for moderate-to-severe hidradenitis suppurativa (a painful skin condition), has any effect on the progression of plaque in the heart's arteries. It will follow 34 adults who are already at high risk for heart disease or have existing plaque. Researchers will use special heart scans to measure plaque changes over 12 months while participants receive their regular treatment.
