First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a 12-session heart rate variability biofeedback program can help members of the Portuguese National Republican Guard feel less distressed and burned out, and improve their overall well-being. About 50 participants will learn breathing techniques and use real-time feedback to better manage their stress. The goal is to see if this approach can reduce the negative effects of high-stress jobs.
