New video aims to ease tough choices after preventative surgery

Summary
This study is testing a new educational video to help people with BRCA gene mutations make more informed decisions about hormone replacement therapy (HRT) after having their ovaries and fallopian tubes removed to prevent cancer. Researchers will compare the video plus standard counseling to standard counseling alone in 50 premenopausal patients planning this surgery. The main goal is to see if the video reduces confusion and increases satisfaction with the HRT decision-making process.
