First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests a new vaccine called V540A to see if it is safe and works as well as the current HPV vaccine (V503) in healthy women aged 16 to 26. HPV is a common virus that can cause certain cancers. V540A is designed to protect against the same 9 HPV types as V503, plus additional types. About 525 participants will receive either V540A or V503, and researchers will monitor side effects and immune response.
