Emergency rooms tested as new front for Cancer-Preventing shots

NCT ID NCT06229353

Summary

This study explored whether emergency departments could be used to help more adults get vaccinated against HPV, a virus that can cause several cancers. Researchers tested a program to offer the vaccine to eligible patients aged 18-45 who were visiting the ER and were not fully vaccinated. The goal was to see if this unusual setting could improve vaccination rates, but the study was stopped early.
