Texts & calls aim to boost Cancer-Preventing shots for rural kids

NCT ID NCT07217145

Summary

This study tests different reminder systems to help parents in rural areas get their children (ages 9-17) vaccinated against HPV, a virus that can cause cancer. Researchers are comparing automated reminders (like texts or calls), automated reminders plus live calls from clinic staff, and usual care to see which works best at getting kids to complete the multi-dose vaccine series. The goal is to find effective, practical strategies that clinics can use to reduce future cancer risks in underserved communities.
