Doctors test cutting radiation for Fast-Responding HPV throat cancers

NCT ID NCT03215719

Summary

This study is testing if doctors can safely lower the dose of radiation and chemotherapy for people with HPV-positive throat cancer who show a good response halfway through treatment. The goal is to see if patients who get less treatment have similar cancer control and survival rates, while potentially experiencing fewer long-term side effects. The study will follow 120 patients for two years to track if their cancer progresses.
