Summary
This early-stage trial tested a new treatment for people with HPV16-positive head and neck or cervical cancer that has spread or come back. The therapy uses a patient's own immune cells, modified to recognize and attack HPV-infected cancer cells, with some cells also engineered to release an anti-PD1 substance to boost their effectiveness. Nine participants received different doses to find the safest amount, and the study is now complete.
