Home test kit mailed to women to fight cervical cancer

NCT ID NCT04411849

Summary

This study tested if mailing HPV self-test kits to women could help more of them get screened for cervical cancer. Researchers compared two groups: one received the home test kit in the mail, and the other received a standard reminder letter to get screened at a clinic. The goal was to see if the convenient home test made it easier for women, especially in underserved Appalachian areas, to complete this important preventive health step.
